So I said I would make my own site and not use all those Facebook and other pre-made gadgets. The reasons were twofold:

Freedom. Both technical (the site will be able to do whatever I set up there and not just what the operator decided I might need) and freedom of speech (no one can delete my post as “inappropriate”). Both of these are (at least for now) rather theoretical, because I don’t have time for the former (somehow my main job is not to write blogs or worry about blogging systems) and the latter has never happened to me either (but all days are not over, I haven’t even started criticizing this system properly yet).
I won’t have to write it x times for each “gadget” separately (and I’m only on FB, LindedIn and ITNetwork so far). Well, even so far it looks like I’ll have to write it for everything separately and NOT for my site…
[But perhaps there is a plugin that would automatically publish the posts on the other networks? Or do I have to write one myself?]
